Helen Hutchison Tucker Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2015 in remembrance of Helen Hutchison Tucker to assist Seminole State students seeking a degree with a focus on Humanities. Professor Tucker taught Humanities at Seminole State for more than a decade. A graduate of Seminole High School, Tucker earned her bachelor’s degree from Rollins College and her master’s degree from Stetson University. A descendant of one of the pioneer families that settled in Sanford in the 1800’s, Tucker was known for her passionate enthusiasm for civil rights.
