NAIOP CFL Intentional Impact Scholarship Program

The Central Florida Chapter of NAIOP in conjunction with the Intentional Impact Committee is pursuing candidates for an Intentional Impact Sponsorship Scholarship. The format will be an educational scholarship fund to be awarded to students entering their sophomore to senior year or actively enrolled in their graduate degree. The student must demonstrate an intention to pursue a career in the commercial real estate industry or related fields through his/her/their course studies, employment or internships in the commercial real estate industry or other notable experience or achievements. The candidate must show significant interest in wanting to remain or relocate to the Central Florida (Orlando MSA) region. Scholarships will be granted in 2023 in the amount of no less than $1,000, and no more than $3,000 per semester. A recipient may receive the scholarship up to (4) separate semesters but must apply for renewal each semester. If the recipient resides in the Central Florida area at the time of the application/award, the scholarship will also include a one-year student or graduate student (as applicable) membership to NAIOP Central Florida. This scholarship is designated for students interested in career fields associated with Commercial Real Estate including careers such as, but not limited to:  Real Estate Brokers  Property Managers  Commercial Lenders  Land-Use Attorneys  Real Estate Developers  Urban Planners  Engineering (with
priority to Civil and Environmental)  Architects  Interior Designers  Construction Managers  Financial Investors  Surveyors  CAD Technicians  Appraisers
The applicant must be willing to have his/her name, photograph, and place of residence appear in promotional announcements by NAIOP Central Florida.  The applicant must participate in a once-per-month meeting/phone call with their Commercial Real Estate Career Advisor through NAIOP Central Florida. If an Applicant misses three (3) meetings with their Advisor, they will be immediately suspended from the program. Scholarship recipients will receive payment within thirty days from receipt of the applicant’s qualifying transcripts for the semester in which the award was granted. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible since applications will be evaluated in the order they are received. The Intentional Impact Sponsorship Committee reserves the right to conduct interviews by phone, Zoom, or in person with any applicant.
